All Weekend The Tempest @ the Asheville Masonic Temple Thursday-Saturday @ 8 pm Sunday @ 3 pm Rhinoleap Production's adapation of Shakespeare's The Tempest features several choreographed movement/dance scenes, handmade puppets, and an original score. Reviews are in, and there's unanimous consensus that this play should be on your weekend list of things to do. Tickets available here ($15-34).  Friday and Saturday Seduction Sideshow presents Bound @ Isis  9 pm Come and explore the titillating and transfixing world of burlesque performance at Isis this weekend. Presented by Seduction Sideshow, Bound is "a night of unrestrained burlesque" put on by Asheville's longest-running burlesque troupe. Featuring circus arts, comedy, theatrics, stage magic, and sexy dancin'. $15, 21+. Tickets here.  Friday Grand Opening Party w/ Crucial Fiya @ Salvage Station  8-11 pm If you haven't been to Salvage Station yet, you owe it to yourself to check out this unique space on the banks of the French Broad River. With an indoor stage area, multiple outdoor seating areas, a kitchen, and a full bar, it's everything you ever wanted in a fabulous hangout spot. This Friday, come down for a free show and grand opening party with renowned reggae group Crucial Fiya. Come and get your love!  RiverMusic @ the RiverLink Sculpture and Performance Plaza 5:30-10 pm Come on down and listen to the sweet sounds of the Randall Bramblett Band, Jerry Joseph and the Jackmormons, and Bloodkin at this week's RiverLink RiverMusic show. Kick back and enjoy the music, as well as food and drink sold at the event. Saturday Intrinsic Flow Art Opening Reception @ Southern Appalachian Brewery (Hendersonville) 5-8 pm This one wasn't featured in our video update, but we heard about it and are including it here! Get out of town (just a touch) to Hendersonville and catch this show at the Southern Applachian Brewery. Three local artists--Tarah Singh, Lesha Jacyszyn, and Linda Hendricks. Works feature "luscious color and movement." The show runs through the end of July.  Tri-X Noise Pop-Up Photo Exhibit // Ellipser // Earth Collider @ Refinery Creator Space 6-10 pm  This benefit for the Asheville Darkroom will support the Darkroom's relocation to the new Refinery Creator Space on the South Slope. There's a one-night only photo installation from Bill Daniel, sets from "local post-punk angels" Ellipser and "local thrash metal cosmonauts" Earth Collider. Beer and snacks on hand for the thirsty and weary. $5-25 sliding scale entry. Go support! The Broadcast Album Release Show @ The Grey Eagle 9 pm Asheville's own The Broadcast are celebrating the release of their new album! The Broadcast is releasing their album independently, with help from Worthwhile Sounds. It's officially out on June 17th, but come to the show for a sneak peek! Monday South Slope Community Vision & Brainstorm @ The Refinery Creator Space 5:30-7 pm Ok, so it's technically not the weekend anymore, but this one is high up on our list of to-do's. Head back to the Refinery Creator Space to have your say in this Vision & Brainstorm session. Goals are to "identify the South Slope's developing strengths, challenges, priorities, and goals." Beer, snacks, and discussion!
