The fashion photography event
FASHMOB has taken flight in Asheville. On Thursday, May 18th, the ninth installment FASHMOB,
Cover Story, went down at the Wedge Foundation. This was the second time the event took place in the River Arts District, and models, photographers, make-up artists, designers, and more used the industrial location, filled with colorful street art, as the backdrop for some stunning results.
FASHMOB started when organizer, Asheville photographer
Duncan Chaboudy, wanted to discover and highlight up-and-coming talent in the area. According to Chaboudy, "I am always on the lookout for new and experienced people interested in local fashion and fashion photography for future events. FASHMOB brings together designers, makeup artists, hair stylists, photographers, and models to create and have fun."
If you're interested in getting involved with FASHMOB, you can reach out to Chaboudy
via his website and join the Facebook group
Asheville Model Network for information on local fashion. Check out the video from this year's FASHMOB, produced by Anthony Harden of
