Ok, so it's technically not happening on the weekend, but we'd be remiss not to dedicate this weekend update to the Great American Solar Eclipse of 2017.

We checked out the local modular synthesizer company Make Noise, who will be presenting their new instrument and performing this Friday at the BMCM+AC.

This weekend is all about art and music in Asheville, with events ranging from the first Downtown After 5 to the Spring Stroll in the RAD.

The Eagle has long been a staple of the Asheville music scene, with one of the kindest, most passionate dudes in the business running it all: Jeff Whitworth.

Here at Team WSAVL Call Me we came up with some extra categories we think should have made the cut.

Asheville's music scene and culture is a huge draw to our economy and The Orange Peel has been a big part of that.

Downtown After 5, presented by Harmony Motors, returns Friday, August 15 with soul music from The Dynamites featuring Charles Walker and Ruby Velle & The Soulphonics.
