The family-friendly
New Belgium Clips Beer & Film Tour is coming to downtown Asheville on Friday, September 4, starting at 7 p.m., with films starting at 8:30 p.m. at
Roger McGuire Park. This travelling show is going coast-to-coast hitting 20 cities and is in its 6th year.
Attendees will be able to take in a wide variety and "highly entertaining line-up" of short films promising to have something for everyone.
For the beer-lovers:
New Belgium beers will be available in 3-ounce samples ($1.50) or 12-ounce pours ($6), and you can even try an exclusive brew made just for the night. Other offerings include
Cocoa Mole,
Eric’s Ale,
LaFolie,
Pear Ginger, and
Fat Tire and friends. Some of Asheville's favorite food trucks will also be on hand to feed the crowd.
The event is free to attend and beer will be available for purchase. And, as is so often in Asheville, you get to drink for a purpose with 100% of all beer sales going to their local nonprofit partner.
We asked the organizers to list
their top 5 reasons you should not miss this event, and here they are! For more details and information, go to

Why You Should Not Miss the New Belgium Clips Beer & Film Tour
1. Clips raises money for local non-profits and is free to attend.
Clips is New Belgium’s beer and film festival that provides a fun interactive way for us to give back to communities where we brew and sell our beer, beyond our grant program.
Asheville on Bikes is our Clips partner and 100 percent of the proceeds from beer sales benefit local nonprofits working to improve communities nationwide. In total, Clips has raised more than $620,000 for local nonprofits. More than $45,000 in North Carolina alone!
2. Bring your blankets, family, friends and creativity!
Sit under the stars. Sample delicious New Belgium beers. Send a postcard. Study with our beer experts. Star in your own film.
3. Films! You may see your friends on the big screen.
Watch short films created by you, New Belgium fans. Watch films about you, Asheville! We have a series of films about building the brewery in Asheville that we’ll be releasing when we open next Spring. At Clips, we’ll be debuting the
History of Place short film, showcasing the history of
Craven Street and featuring some awesome local folks! These films are being made by Asheville’s very own,
Industrious Productions.
4. Supporting your local Community.
High 5 those awesome volunteers when you pass them!
Asheville on Bikes volunteers are the heartbeat of this event, setting up, serving beer and parking bikes for free.
Asheville GreenWorks’ clean up team is making sure we’re aligned with our sustainability values by composting and recycling our waste.
5. Oh yeh! Did we mention a sampling of unique beers and local eats?
Clips offers a venue where guests can try New Belgium’s most esoteric beer offerings along with all of your favorites. Clips will be serving a limited amount of
Film Noir. Film Noir is a Chocolate Milk Stout made for and served solely to Clips guests! For a complete list of beers available at the Asheville stop, click

Gypsy Queen Cuisine,
Avery’s Hot Dogs,
