SPARC Design is an Asheville-based architecture and planning firm specializing in modern commercial and mixed use design. Two of the three principals of SPARC Design that will be contributing to Asheville Grit are Lindsey Rhoden and Peyton Shumate. Lindsey first fell in love with Asheville in 2004 when her graduate thesis project proposed to prevent roadkill by designing incorporated wildlife habitats on Tunnel Road. Peyton Shumate has been living in Asheville for 10 years. In addition to architecture his interests include Graphic Design and Music.
