By Sarah E. Nichols Models: Masha Bachuk and Ben Joyner I wanted to tell a story with lights. Light has the power to control the perception of a photo, and I wanted to play with that. That's all we knew we wanted to do going in. It was a relaxed, fun shoot for purposes of experimentation and we started our night with no explicit concept. Through a group effort, though, we quickly came to the conclusion that we wanted to portray the different stages of a toxic relationship. That although there's so much negativity in this kind of relationship, their partner was on the mind--haunting them--and that their love wouldn't change.
