Local artist Ginger Huebner's TEDx Asheville talk was chosen for the TED.com website and the TEDx Editor's choice. She offers the question: What if we had conversations without even saying a word, and instead used imagery and color alone?
Ginger Huebner is an artist and visual translator who guides people in building bridges between their inner most world to something visual and evident in their outer world.
In her TEDx talk she shares how her Create + Connect process leads people to have deep and meaningful conversations beyond words; offering new ways to see themselves, others and the world. This process opens doors to understanding and collaboration through non-threatening and accessible mediums. Participants produce original works of art that evoke truths, share stories, offer reflection, healing, that transform and connect communities breaking cycles of divisiveness and negativity. Ginger is a true leader of connection. Her work offers people a safe space to tell their stories, start conversations, and translate their visions through the use of imagery and color - beyond words.
This summer, Ginger is opening a new studio and workshop space at the Roots + Wings Creative Campus in Asheville. She is thrilled to be able to share her original artwork as well as host clients for Create + Connect Workshops, Circles and Facilitation Trainings. She serves individuals, families, schools, business teams and leadership boards, community and faith-based organizations; and can weave her magic into off-site retreats, conferences, corporate events, family celebrations, and more.
She is having an Open House on June 22, 2022 from 5-7pm that will offer folks opportunities to see her new space, work, and connect about her Create + Connect experiences and collaboration opportunities.
Ginger is the founding director of Roots + Wings School of Art and Design in Asheville. She also serves as Visual Art Advisor to the PBS for their Online Learning platform, the ‘Pinkalicious’ series, and the development of the PBS Arts Curriculum. She lives in Asheville, NC with her husband and two amazing kids.
