Athens-based trio Gláss will bring their unique and somber sound to Asheville for one night. On the heels of their newest album, Accent, these southern boys play their instruments with precision and style. Self-described “punk noise with post rock elements” there are subtle nods to several different types of genres, but one can only argue that it is completely unique and original. Each track off the new record houses tension and jolts of energy as the instruments carry the songs mood; which in turn is usually moody or melancholy. However, the energy that creeps through each tune is electric and exciting for the listener. Gláss - Hotel Motel from Daniel McCord on Vimeo. Making Asheville the fourth stop on their southeastern tour, they will be joined alongside South Carolina natives, Onj. and Asheville locals, The Francis Vertigo. The band will play Free Monday! at the Mothlight, Monday March 28. Check out the full album below.
