Asya Colie (pictured) has lived long enough in Asheville to consider it home, but her French heritage – and soul – is undeniable.
She is constantly inspired by the rich landscapes of both Southern France and the Blue Ridge Mountains and her work is a lush representation of her two worlds.
Her time workig in the fashion indutry early in her career sparked explorations of femininity in her portrait series, but her passionate, dynamic abstract work is what she's currently been immersed in.
The opening reception of her latest show,
Fleurs, is Saturday, October 20 from 7-10pm at
Ananda Hair Studio downtown at 22 Broadway and will stay up through January 6, 2019.
